We are a non-profit organization operating in India, which promotes Sports Karate as a sports as well as a martial art. We work under the guidance of the WORLD KARATE FEDERATION (WKF) one of the most well-established karate Federation in the world.
Our mission is to promote Shotokan Karate as a sport and martial art among both the younger and elder generations, helping them to improve and maintain physical health as well as mental well-being. We also wish to strengthen the development of the organization, along with the help of member organizations worldwide and the ever-improving progress of our patrons.
SSKF Invites other like-minded Shotokan or no Shotokan groups to join with our members to participate in any of our events and also participate in training seminars conducted by Federation. Interested groups should contact us.
We provide support for not only achieving the highest students standards, but also for Instructors. The SSKF can help you to develop Excellency in your coaching, recruiting, inspiring and retaining students so that they can to go all the way from beginner to black belt and beyond.
Our organization currently has around 2000 male and female members of all ages enjoying practicing the art of Shotokan Karate. Our Instructors and members benefit from regular Seminars, Events and Courses.
The Shotokan Sports Karate Do Federation is a Shotokan Style Federation. It is a non political and non profitable Federation. It is Associate Member to National Sports Federation. The Association has a good experience of participating in different National, International Championships, Seminars and Master Training Camps and has made significant contribution in the field of Karate in National and International Level. SSKF was formed under the guidance of Shihan Ashish Bhardwaj a former National Champion having experience of more than two decades in different facets of Karate. He started his training of Shotokan Karate in early seventies under Master Gulam Sabir Black Belt 8th Dan , who first introduced Shotokan, Sports Karate in India. SSKF is the fastest growing karate organization in India with more than 8000 students practicing regularly.
The Federation is going forward with the view of Shotokan Karate and is propagating Karate as a method of exercise, sport, a technique of self defense and also as a Japanese martial art. The mindset of members of the Federation is very optimistic to promote and develop Shotokan Sports Karate in India and the members are dedicated to their mission.
The Federation currently consists of 50 Karate Branch Dojo with a main Dojo i.e. headquarter. The Federation is expanding with new schools, clubs, branch dojo, all over the India setting new standards in our ancient fighting art.
OBJECTIVES OF SSKF
The Federation’s main objective is to promote and develop Shotokan Sports Karate in India by encouraging and increasing awareness to the people. Organizing and participating in different National and International Championships, seminars and training camps. This would in long run produce high quality players. SSKF strives to create a consolidated movement for popularizing the true form of Shotokan Sports Karate in India, where many instructors are teaching one or the other form of Karate and most of them in diluted version. SSKF is creating an awareness among the karate practitioners, so that they can be included in the mainstream Karate. SSKF aims to raise the standard of Karate in India to the international levels. The steps towards achieving these goals are:
- To organize training camps under International Instructors.
- Exposure in International Championship In India and Abroad..
